Past Projects

 

The following are some of the past projects that have received funding from the Foundation:

 

Ryerson Film Student

 

Ryerson film student Selka Carruthers was awarded funding for a new computer. This enabled her to use film software to produce a short documentary film in her second year. The film titled "Don't sweat the Small Stuff" was a documentary of Wendy Chapman, the longest surviving lung transplant recipient.

 

Royal Conservatory Concert

 

Ariadne Daskalakis and Miri Yampolsky, an international violin and piano duo, performed at the Royal Conservatory of Music's Mazzoleni Hall in Toronto in March 2010.

Other Projects

 

  • The Royal Conservatory received sponsorship for the "Building National Dreams" campaign.

  • The National Ballet of Canada received sponsorship for Education and Outreach activities.

  • The Toronto Symphony Orchestra received sponsorship for its music education programmes.

 

Current Sponsorships

 

The Foundation is currently working with the renowned weaver Ted Hallman on a short film that will accompany an exhibition of his weavings. These special works were inspired by the words of Kenneth Mills and the music of the Star-Scape Singers.
